Impact-Reducing Football Chinstrap, incorporating hydraulic technology

Guardian Chinstrap is an impact-reducing football chinstrap developed by Guardian Sports in partnership with SoftShox. Its hydraulic technology is designed to compress during facemask
impacts, helping absorb and disperse force before automatically resetting after the hit.

In independent laboratory testing, Guardian Chinstrap ranked #1 in HARM reduction among six chinstraps tested at 7.4 m/s. Designed for comfort, fit and impact reduction, Guardian Chinstrap adds another piece of protective technology to the football helmet
system.

Guardian Chinstrap is designed to help reduce impact forces; it does not prevent concussions or eliminate the risk of serious head injury.

  • Independently Tested: Guardian Chinstrap ranked #1 in HARM reduction among six chinstraps tested at 7.4 m/s in independent laboratory testing.
  • Hydraulic Technology: SoftShox hydraulic chambers compress during impact and automatically reset afterward.
  • Secure Fit: Designed to provide the secure fit expected from a football chinstrap while incorporating impact-reduction technology.
  • Comfortable Design: Engineered with player comfort and wearability in mind for practices and games.
  • Broad Helmet Compatibility: Compatible with most major football helmet brands.
*Not currently compatible with Xenith helmets.
  • Complementary Protection: Designed to work as part of an athlete's broader protective equipment system alongside a properly fit and maintained football helmet.

No helmet, headgear, or chinstrap can prevent or eliminate the risk of concussions or other serious head injuries while playing sports or otherwise. Researchers have not reached an agreement on how the results of impact attenuation tests relate to concussions or other injuries. No conclusions about a reduction of risk or severity of concussive injury or other injury risk should be drawn from impact attenuation tests. All headgear and chinstraps must be used along with properly fit and maintained helmets.
